Maine is one of the most beautiful and scenic destinations our wonderful USA has to offer. The centrally located city of Portland is the perfect spot to enjoy our four-night Maine stay. The coastal towns of Boothbay Harbor, Kennebunkport and Camden will be perfect destinations as we travel a short distance each day from our Portland headquarters. Between these towns’ rich history, quaint local shops and boutiques, delicious dining and world-class boat excursions, there are countless fun things to do and see. You will be captivated by the quiet coves, rocky shores, and island lighthouses and by the warmth and friendliness of the locals, turning strangers into friends. Don’t miss the bus for this exciting four (4) night stay in fabulous Maine!
Day 1: Today we depart for a unique autumn adventure to the beautiful state of Maine! Our overnight accommodations are in Syracuse, NY.
Day 2-5: We’ll travel today to Maine as we enjoy the colorful scenery along our route. We come to rest in Portland where we check in for our 4-night stay. We will use Portland as our headquarters and venture out during the day to see the sights and sounds all along the Maine Coastline. During our stay there is so much to see and enjoy. We will visit Boothbay Harbor and lovely Camden, stopping at the Maine State Prison Showroom for some of the most unique shopping you will ever experience. We will travel south to Kennebunkport and view the Bush family compound and stroll through the quaint streets for lunch on our own and boutique and souvenir shopping. We will enjoy a day in Portland with a harbor cruise and a visit to the Portland Head Light, the most photographed Lighthouse in the US. We will visit LL Bean in Freeport as well. Of course, you will have time at your leisure. Breakfast is included each morning at the hotel and we will suggest many wonderful options for dinners as well. We will also include a special Lobster Bake dinner one evening. 4B, 1D
Day 6: After breakfast we will board the coach for our return trip. Rest and meal stops will be made enroute to our overnight destination. B
Day 7: Breakfast is included before for our final travel day. Rest and meal stops will be made enroute. We will plan to arrive home early evening with stories and memories to share with family and friends about your wonderful autumn adventure to the lovely places in Maine. B
