Join us on this exciting journey through the musical State of Tennessee! Musical landmarks, historic sites and legends of music make this part of America “the home to where music lives”.
Day 1: It’s off bright and early as we board our motorcoach for today’s journey through the rolling hills of Kentucky and Tennessee. We overnight at the Drury Inn near Memphis, TN for the next two nights.
Day 2: After our included breakfast we set our sights for Graceland, the legendary mansion of Elvis Presley. See thousands of artifacts including gold and platinum albums and singles representing the sale of over one billion records worldwide, more than any other entertainer or group in the history of recorded voice. See Elvis’ dazzling costumes, cars, motorcycles, personal mementos, and awards. Our tour will include: Graceland Mansion interactive iPad tour, automobile museum, Graceland Archives Experience, and special exhibits. Spend the rest of our time here exploring the museums and gift shops featuring hundreds of Elvis’ recordings and every kind of souvenir imaginable. This afternoon we visit the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum’s exhibition about the birth of rock and soul music, created by the Smithsonian Institution. Next, we tour Sun Studio, the birthplace of rock ‘n roll and home to the “Million Dollar Quartet”. Tonight, we’ll include a special treat of Memphis barbeque at one of Beale Street’s famous restaurants. B,D
Day 3: This morning we continue our two-step to Nashville for an exciting two-night stay. But before arriving in Music City we will stop and tour the historic and beautiful Belle Meade Plantation. Throughout the guided tour, a century of Belle Meade’s history is told through the eyes of the Harding and Jackson family and the skilled laborers who collectively worked to make this America’s premier thoroughbred horse farm. There will be time to explore the 1892 Carriage House and Stables as well as a visit to the Gift Shop. We will arrive at the Drury Plaza in Franklin, near Nashville, for our two-night stay. Dinner and entertainment are included tonight! B,D
Day 4: We’ll start the day with a guided tour of Music City USA! We’ll enjoy lunch on our own and admission will be included to the Country Music Hall of Fame. This afternoon we’ll return to the hotel to refresh before enjoying an included dinner and The Grand Ole Opry! B,D
Day 5: This morning after breakfast, we visit the Opryland Hotel where you will have time to stroll through the gardens and conservatory in this magnificent hotel. This afternoon we head for home, anxious to tell family and friends about our delightful Tennessee Two-Step Tour! B
