Join us as we travel to see Pennsylvania’s best kept secret, The Little Grand Canyon, also known as the Crown Jewel of Pennsylvania. This great little tour will also feature a relaxing three-night stay, delicious dining and a scenic fall River Cruise. Don’t miss this bus on this getaway Autumn Adventure!
Day 1: Depart early morning to head north for Williamsport, PA. A delicious dinner will be included this evening before checking in to a local hotel for a three-night stay. D
Day 2: Enjoy a continental breakfast this morning before departing for Wellsboro. Here, we will enjoy a stop at Highland Chocolates. Enjoy a special treat and visit their gift shop. Explore Wellsboro and enjoy lunch, on your own. This afternoon we will visit the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon Overlook in Ansonia for outstanding views of this natural wonder. Time will be allowed to explore the Visitor’s Center before taking a covered wagon ride into the PA Grand Canyon’s upper gorge and along Pine Creek. Dinner is included at a Wellsboro favorite. B,D
Day 3: A continental breakfast is included at the hotel before meeting our costumed tour guide. Our guide will lead us down Millionaire’s Row featuring local legend and lore. Visit Williamsport’s Annunciation Catholic Church built in 1886 in wonderful Romanesque structure with magnificent detail. Next, visit the Thomas T. Taber Museum featuring the Shempp Toy Train collection, as well as additional historic exhibits and art. Lunch will be on our own before visiting the Little League Museum in Williamsport. Then, it’s all aboard on a narrated Susquehanna River Cruise. Learn about the river’s role in marking Williamsport the lumber capitol of the world. This river also played an important role in the Underground Railroad, used to help slaves flee the south. Tonight’s farewell dinner is included at LeJeune Chef, the teaching restaurant at the Pennsylvania School of Technology. B,D
