It was Christmas Eve in 1895 when George Vanderbilt welcomed family and friends to his newly completed 250-room mansion for what was perhaps the most incredible Christmas celebration they had ever seen. Today, Christmas at Biltmore is still one of the most astonishing holiday celebrations you will ever experience.
Day 1: We depart this morning for our drive to the lovely Blue Ridge Mountains and Smoky Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Today, we have included a special holiday luncheon with entertainment at the historic Boone Tavern. This evening, check in at our Asheville hotel for the next two nights. L
Day 2: An included breakfast gets us started this morning. First, we will include a guided tour of Asheville. This afternoon, we will enjoy a visit to the Grounds of the Biltmore Estate along with a visit to the Antler Hill Village & Winery. This evening enjoy a full course traditional holiday buffet at the Deerpark Restaurant on the Biltmore Grounds. After dinner you’ll experience the ambiance of American’s largest Home during a Candlelight Christmas Tour, where a 35-foot Christmas tree and miles of festival décor fill you with holiday cheer. Holiday music will fill the halls. The house is filled with more than 35 magnificent Christmas trees, hundreds of wreaths and poinsettias, and over 10,000 feet of evergreen swags. In the Banquet Hall, a tree nearly 40 feet tall is laden with Victorian ornaments. B,D
Day 3: Breakfast is included at the hotel before departing for Sevierville, TN. A delicious lunch will be included at the Applewood Farmhouse, as well as a little shopping time. Early afternoon, we will head home full of holiday spirit and stories to share with family and friends! B,L
