The National Memorial Day Parade is a moving timeline of American military history, honoring those who have served and sacrificed from the American Revolution to the present day. It draws on the tradition of Memorial Day parades, going back to the beginning of the holiday just after the Civil War, to create a family friendly event aimed at calling attention to the true meaning of Memorial Day – honoring our fallen heroes. In addition to the parade, we have included highlights such as the Smithsonian Museum Complex, Arlington National Cemetery, Monuments and Memorials, and Mt. Vernon. Don’t miss the bus for a unique and new perspective to seeing our nation’s Capital!
Day 1: It’s eastward bound as we cross Ohio’s rolling fields and the picturesque mountains of Pennsylvania. This evening, after enjoying an included dinner enroute, we will arrive in suburban Maryland and check in for a three-night stay at the SpringHill Suites Hotel. D
Day 2: Breakfast is included before we start our day with our first stop being at the Smithsonian Complex on the National Mall. We will spend our morning at the Smithsonian Museums. We will arrive and take our VIP Seats for the National Memorial Day Parade with a box lunch provided to enjoy while watching the parade. This nationally broadcast parade is the largest of its kind in the United States. It is held Annually along Constitution Avenue in our nation’s capital to pay tribute to those who have served, are serving, and most importantly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service to our country. Enjoy this great celebration of our veterans and fallen heroes! At the conclusion of the parade we will depart with our guide. After an included dinner we will embark on an illuminated Monument tour. We will drive by the Marine Corps Memorial, Air Force Memorial, Washington Monument, National World War II Memorial (stop to admire), walk through the Kennedy Center for a spectacular view of the city from the terrace and see the famous bronze bust of John F Kennedy in the grand foyer. We will drive by and stop at other memorials as time permits. B,L,D

This afternoon you will enjoy some free time in Old Town Alexandria to explore and shop with time for your choice of lunch on your own. This afternoon we will visit the National Museum of the Marine Corps and experience We, The Marines movie at the Medal of Honor Theatre. Dinner is included along the waterfront this evening. B,D
