3 Days – 2 Nights –5 Meals – 2 Shows

What makes the perfect 4th of July getaway? We believe it is delicious food, unique sightseeing, friendly companions, lovely accommodations and of course, special entertainment.  The “Land that I Love” Musical is a fun-filled adventure, telling the story of Indiana.  Laugh at the origins of the name Hoosier, enjoy the folklore tales of Johnny Appleseed and Young Abe Lincoln, and celebrate the funny names of the small-town festivals and traditions we hold dear. It will be delightful to witness the spirit of Indiana shine as the 19th star waving proudly on Old Glory!  We will also see “When Calls the Heart” a wonderful musical based on the hit Hallmark series. We hope you will join us for a great “holiday” tour to Amish Acres to celebrate our past and a part of our nation’s history!

Day One:            We depart this morning for our drive through scenic Indiana to the Amish country and Nappanee. Here it will seem like we have traveled back in time to an era when life was simpler, lived at a slower pace…the Amish today live much as their ancestors did. The children still walk to one-room schoolhouses and families still travel to town by way of horse and buggy. Our getaway will include accommodations at Amish Acres, Countryside Inn. A Farm Feast Dinner is included in the century-old barn restaurant and admission to the Round Barn Theatre for the performance, “When Calls the Heart” Musical.  D

Day Two:            We will enjoy an included breakfast this morning before touring a house and farm along with a wagon ride, countryside tour with a local guide, with a stop at a local bulk foods store. Lunch is included before some final shopping time at the courtyard shops. This afternoon we will enjoy a rousing musical “Land that I Love” in the Round Barn Theatre.  After the performance we will include Wine Tasting at the Vines along with an Amish Traditions Lecture with Kathy.  Before our included dinner we will see “Behind the Scenes” at the Round Barn Theatre.  Dinner will be served in the Barn Restaurant, followed by an evening at your leisure.
