Day 1: We begin our two-day getaway celebration with a mid-morning departure, traveling into Indiana’s Amish country. Nappanee is one of the largest Amish settlements in the United States – nearly 2,500 Old Order Amish live and work here. At Amish Acres, time stopped over a century ago to preserve a way of life nearly forgotten in today’s fast-paced world. It is the only Amish farm listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The legacy of the three generations of the family who lived here is seen and felt throughout this nostalgic homestead. Your overnight accommodations will be at the Countryside Inn. Upon arrival we take some time to relax at the Inn preparing for the grand night ahead! A delicious New Year’s Eve Meal will be served prior to the performance of White Christmas in the Round Barn Theatre. After the musical there will be a Cabaret and hor d’oerves. Then anticipation mounts as midnight approaches with will include a great Fireworks Show! Such a great way to usher in the New Year! D
Day 2: This morning we enjoy our first breakfast of 2023 before starting our journey homeward. With a leisurely departure, we will include lunch today and return home ready to begin a new year full of hope and good will! B, L
