We missed this tour in 2020 but now it’s time to pack your bags…get ready for some baseball…and the best of the Big Apple!
Nothing says “New York, New York” like a visit to Yankee Stadium! The second Yankee Stadium, completed in 2009, boasts much of what made the first special – including grand architecture and a healthy respect for the team’s history. This one, though, is also equipped with restaurants to fit every taste, a huge high-definition video scoreboard and an on-site museum. It might not be “The House that Ruth Built” but we have a feeling he’d like it. If you are a Red’s fan, love baseball, or just want a summer look at the Big Apple, you definitely want to get on board this special and fun-filled adventure!
Day One: This morning, we depart for our drive to “The Big Apple”. We will arrive in New Jersey this evening and check in to our hotel for a three-night stay.
Day Two: Breakfast is included at the hotel before heading to the City. First, we board a sightseeing cruise that will take us around Manhattan. Cruise along all three NYC rivers, pass under 20 bridges and see over 130 of the city’s most iconic landmarks, The Empire State Building, The Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, The United Nations, and Yankee Stadium. This afternoon, we stop by famous Central Park, one of the most famous spots in New York City. Finally, we arrive in The Bronx, home of Yankee Stadium. Your ticket includes “all you can eat” hot dogs, pretzels, and sausages, as well as Pepsi products until the 5th inning. Be ready to cheer on our Cincinnati Reds as they take on the New York Yankees! Day Three: After an included breakfast, we arrive at the National September 11th Memorial & Museum. Relive the story through interactive technology, archives, narratives and a collection of artifacts. Today’s lunch is included at Puglia’s in Little Italy. This afternoon, visit the world-famous Empire State Building, where their observatory deck provides an unforgettable 360° view of New York City and beyond. This evening, you will be on your own to experience Times Square. You can choose to enjoy a nice dinner or take in a Broadway show. Transportation will be provided back to the hotel twice this evening. B,L
Day Four: Following breakfast, we set our sights for home eager to share the details of our trip to New York City and the adventures of our Cincinnati Reds with family and friends. B
