Join us for this new adventure where we will delight in a unique destination on the Alabama Gulf Coast where preserved nature is at your doorstep. Relax, walk on the beach, take a Dolphin Cruise, see Alligators and other natural inhabitants such as turtles, owls and bull frogs! Most importantly, this is a tour designed for relaxation along the shores of the Gulf Coast! Don’t miss the bus as we head to one of the best kept secrets of the south…beautiful Gulf Shores!
Day 1: We will begin our journey southward to the great state of Alabama! Enjoy your drive through the rolling Bluegrass, across Tennessee and into the Cotton State of Alabama. This evening we will overnight in Birmingham at the Drury Inn, arriving in time for the kick-back!
Day 2: Breakfast is included at the hotel before continuing our journey through Alabama. Enjoy the next three-nights at your oceanfront hotel, the lovely Hampton Inn and Suites Gulf Front. The hotel features indoor/outdoor pool & whirlpools, fitness center, 24-hour shop offering snacks and sundries, coffee maker in each room, free in-room movie channel, complimentary high-speed wireless internet access in all rooms. The beautiful white-sand beaches and sparkling emerald waters welcome beachgoers of all ages. Dinner will be included at a local restaurant. B, D
Day 3: Breakfast is included at the hotel. Enjoy your morning as you wish at the hotel or on the beach. This afternoon we will enjoy a Glass Bottom Dolphin Boat Tour. Each vessel is equipped with four large glass panels so that you have a chance to view the dolphins as they play and swim beneath the boats. You will also have a chance to see Osprey Fish Eagles, the Great Blue Heron, and many other wetland creatures and birds in the bay area. Refresh and relax before an included dinner at Lambert’s Café. Day 4: Breakfast is included at the hotel, and you have the day to relax, enjoy the hotel pools and walk the white sandy beach. After lunch we will enjoy a guided adventure at Alligator Alley where you will see over 600 alligators from hatchlings to mature adults, relaxing, sunbathing, courting, and nesting. After a breathtaking view, we continue with a nature walk on the elevated boardwalk and see turtles, ospreys, owls, and bull frogs only a couple feet away! After a very leisurely yet exciting day, our dinner is included again this evening. B, D
Day 5: Breakfast is included this morning before beginning our journey home. We will overnight in Franklin, Tennessee at the Drury Inn Plaza. Enjoy the Kick-Back! B
Day 6: We depart this morning for our drive home. We’ll make a stop at the always opulent Gaylord Opryland Hotel. Plan to arrive early this evening after a great getaway to the Gulf Shores! B
