The Atlanta Botanical Garden ushers in spring with its Atlanta Blooms! An urban oasis in the heart of Atlanta, Southern Living Magazine has named the Botanical Garden “The South’s Best Garden Tour”, the crown jewel of southern gardens. We also celebrate spring with a visit to Callaway Gardens as it comes alive with 20,000 azaleas and other awe-inspiring blossoms with specialty themed areas.  Don’t miss the bus for this Spring sojourn to Atlanta and more.

Day 1:   We’ll depart this morning and head south through Kentucky and Tennessee and into the peach state of Georgia.  We’ll check-in our Drury Hotel for a delightful three-night stay.  Relax and unwind and enjoy the hotel’s Kick-Back Reception tonight.

Day 2:   This morning we will meet our local guide for a tour of Atlanta.  Experience firsthand all the capital of Georgia has to offer!  This afternoon, we visit the World of Coca-Cola and the Atlanta Botanical Garden where we step into a world of magic!  Spend the afternoon visiting the exhibits, gardens, and beautiful landscapes as the Garden celebrates Atlanta Blooms! From large “floating islands” of bulbs in the Skyline Garden Pond to Rainbow River tulip mix and Fellows Favorite daffodils, the main pathways are lined with colors of the season, a sight of sheer beauty along the Southern Seasons Garden Promenade…a colorful season of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses, and perennial bulbs…a magical time of year!  We will return to the hotel to refresh before our included dinner at one of Atlanta’s favorite restaurants. B, D

Day 3:   After breakfast we depart for a great day of touring.  We will arrive at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia where we will discover 2500 acres of beautiful displays and spring flowers and over 20,000 azaleas!  We will include a delightful luncheon.  Before returning to Atlanta, we will visit Georgia’s Little White House State Historic Site, built by President Roosevelt in 1932 where he spent 13 years. We will return to the hotel in time to enjoy the Kick-Back reception and a leisurely evening. B, L

Day 4:   After an included breakfast we bid farewell to the South and set our sights for home.  Plan to arrive back early this evening with wonderful memories of Atlanta’s Blooms and the Gardens of Callaway! B
