Surrounded by natural beauty and crystal-clear waters, falling in love with Lake Geneva is an easy thing to do! Don’t miss the bus and join us for the adventure, beauty, and excitement of this great new tour.
Day 1: We will depart this morning for our drive to Lake Geneva. We will arrive late afternoon and check into our hotel for the next three nights.
Day 2: Following a hearty Wisconsin breakfast, we’ll unplug and experience firsthand the daily life of Wisconsin’s early immigrants through a unique open-air living history museum. For centuries, people left old worlds for a new life in Wisconsin. They faced unfamiliar landscapes and languages, learned to establish farms and communities, and blended the old with the new. Welcome to the world they created. Welcome to Old Wisconsin, featuring village shops, historic farms, heirloom gardens and more. This afternoon we will delve into the history of Lake Geneva at Black Point Mansion. Built in 1888, it was one of the first summer residences designed to host large parties from Chicago. Its distinctive architecture also makes it one of the most interesting on the lake. Tonight, we will be guests at the Dancing Horses Theatre, including dinner and a dazzling spectacle featuring an array of horse breeds who perform alongside their trainers in a fantastic cavalcade of equestrian artistry. Day 3: Enjoy breakfast before we board The Walworth for a scenic and unique US Mailboat cruise! For over 100 years, mail has been delivered around the lake by boat. This 2 ½ hour cruise will take us around the entire lake as we watch the mail person leap off the front of the boat onto residents’ docks. Truly exciting and unique! After disembarking we will walk across the street to Popeye’s on Lake Geneva, known for its flame-roasted rotisserie meals. This quirky, venerable landmark is a favorite amongst locals and tourists alike! You will have free time this afternoon to enjoy a stroll along the lake, sit on a bench and enjoy the view or relax at the hotel. Tonight, after our included dinner, we head to the Tristen Crist Magic Theatre to experience the grand illusionist perform magic up-close and personal. How can a real helicopter appear only a few feet away??!! B, L, D
Day 4: After breakfast we bid beautiful Lake Geneva farewell and begin our journey home. We will arrive early this evening anxious to tell our family and friends about the adventure we had seeing the Gems of Lake Geneva! B
