Day 1: Today we travel to Clarksville, Tennessee and check into our local hotel for our three-night stay. Our first stop will be a visit to Southern Lights Farm for dinner. This beautiful setting is the perfect place to eat a great meal and sit back to enjoy some fantastic music! The “Honkytonk Daycare Band” will be the perfect beginning to our country music voyage. These kids all have ties to Country Music and range in age from 8-12 years old. Be prepared to be amazed by these talented kids and their knowledge of classic country music. Return to the hotel after the show. D
Day 2: A day that starts with bluegrass music is a day that starts off right! Passenger Creek features a 3-time fiddle champion, as well as the great grandson of Grand Ole Opry star Uncle Dave Macon. When the music is over let’s head out to see some Clarksville attractions and have lunch on your own. After a brief rest at the hotel, we will head to a local venue for a delicious southern dinner with a great performance. If you thought George Jones and Tammy Wynette were the king and queen of country music, tonight you will hear from the princess. Georgette Jones will showcase her beautiful voice, singing songs made famous by her parents and telling the stories behind the songs. She will be joined by Dion Pride, the son of AMC Pioneer Award winner Charley Pride. We’ll return to the hotel after a great evening! B, D
Day 3: Today we learn some insight into the life of the Man in Black. We will drive south to the tiny town of Bon Aqua, home of Johnny Cash’s Storyteller Hideaway Farm. Owned by Johnny Cash for more than 30 years, he commonly referred to the farm as the “center of his universe”. From the memorabilia to the farmhouse and the legendary “One Piece at a Time Car”, Johnny Cash Fans will be delighted by this stop. Lunch will be served at the Wonders Center.
