“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” is never more evident than in a visit to the Big Apple in December! New York City becomes a winter wonderland during the holidays: snow blankets the streets of Manhattan; crowds’ “ooh” and “aah” at the exquisite Christmas window displays adorning the stores along Fifth Avenue, ice skaters glide across the Rockefeller Center Skating Rink as the Rockefeller Christmas tree glows beneath the New York skyline. Don’t miss the bus and a chance to see Santa in NYC either!
Day 1: Let’s plan to depart bright and early this morning for the “Big Apple.” Rest and lunch breaks will be made en route. We’ll arrive this evening in time to check in at our New Jersey hotel for the next three nights. The hotel is located just 10 miles from mid-town Manhattan.
Day 2: After our breakfast this morning we will depart for Mid-Town Manhattan. Our first stop will be at The Top of the Rock where we ascend 70 floors to the Observation Deck for an elevated NYC experience! Featuring a 360-degree Manhattan skyline view of landmarks like the Empire State Building, it’s a great way to see the city’s holiday dressings as we begin our day in the Big Apple! We will next visit the historic refurbished Radio City Music Hall for a guided tour of this wonderful structure. This will give you a better understanding of the Theatre before enjoying tomorrow’s Rockettes Spectacular. Enjoy the afternoon along 5th & 6th Avenue. Give your eyes an early Christmas treat by checking out the holiday decorations on the Avenue of the Americas. From festive, oversized tree ornaments to jumbo, colored lights, you’ll be aesthetically pleased every which way you turn! Dinner will be included in Times Square. You may want to take in a Broadway Show, on your own. Transportation will be provided back to the hotel twice tonight. B, D
Day 3: Breakfast is included at the hotel before we meet our local guide for a guided tour of the city. Highlights today will include Wall Street, Chinatown, Greenwich Village, and more. This afternoon, enjoy the Christmas Spectacular with the world famous Rockettes. You can enjoy dinner at a restaurant of your choice before returning to our hotel for the evening…but not before seeing the most famous Christmas Tree in the United States. The Norway spruce at Rockefeller Center usually has a height between 70 to 100 feet, features 5 miles of stringed light, and a 10-foot star topper. For over seven decades, the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center and the holiday decorations adorning and surrounding have stood as a holiday beacon for New Yorkers and visitors alike. More than half a million people pass by the Tree every day, making Rockefeller Center the epicenter of New York City’s holiday celebrations and is a sight to behold each year. B
Day 4: Breakfast is included at the hotel before we depart for Pennsylvania and make a stop at Hershey. We will visit Chocolate World, enjoy an included dinner and drive through Hershey’s Sweet Lights Drive with over 600 illuminated, animated displays. What a sweet way to get into the holiday spirit! We will stay near Hershey tonight. B, D
Day 5: Breakfast will be included this morning before we depart for our return trip home. Plan to arrive back early this evening with great stories to tell your friends and family about your exciting tour to the Big Apple at Christmastime! B
