Day 1: We’ll depart this morning for our drive north to Columbus. We will arrive at Schmidt’s to enjoy a delicious luncheon buffet, with entertainment during lunch. A guided tour of Columbus will be enjoyed after our visit to Schmidt’s. This afternoon you will have time to explore German Village at your own pace. The laid-back German Village is known for charming brick houses built by 19th-century immigrants, with shops selling books, traditional fudge, and handmade jewelry mingled with coffee shops and art galleries. Late afternoon we will check into the Drury Inn Dublin. Enjoy the Kick-Back Reception and evening at your leisure. L
Day 2: This morning after breakfast we will depart for Marysville, Ohio where we will visit the Honda Heritage Center, where you will learn about Honda’s earliest beginnings in the U.S., selling three models of small capacity motorcycles to the manufacture of cars in Marysville as we explore Honda history. We will then travel to picturesque Pottersburg Covered Bridge, built in 1873, to enjoy the unique experience of dining on a covered bridge, complete with delicious cuisine, folk music, storytelling, lively conversation, and a setting sure to celebrate a slower era. After lunch we will enjoy a guided tour of Union County’s covered bridges. After our tour we will make our way home, anxious to tell our family and friends about this fun little summer getaway and our unique luncheon on a covered bridge! B, L
