With thundering waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, vast glaciers, spectacular turquoise lakes, and grazing wildlife, the Canadian Rockies are a region of dramatic wilderness. Join us on this Canadian Rockies tour and we will explore these amazing sights together!
Day 1: Today we begin our tour by traveling north to Madison, Wisconsin. Tonight, we will enjoy a get-acquainted dinner together as we share our thoughts about the fantastic journey ahead. D
Day 2: After our included breakfast, we set our sights for an overnight in Duluth. We will arrive in time to enjoy a Lake Superior fully narrated harbor cruise. Cruising the scenic harbor, our engaging guide will give you the insider information on Duluth’s regional landmarks while showcasing the panoramic views of the North Shore. We will include dinner after the cruise and then check into our local hotel. B, D
Day 3: Today, our journey takes us north and west into Canada. We will stay overnight in Winnipeg, Manitoba. B
Day 4: We will have an early departure this morning as we travel to Regina, SK in time to visit the Mounties Headquarters. We will explore over a century of Royal Canadian Mounted Police history, from the formation of the Northwest Mounted Police in 1873, to the modern-day Mountie. We will enjoy an included dinner before checking into our hotel for tonight’s stay. B, D
Day 5: After breakfast, we depart Regina and get our first view of the Canadian Rockies! We travel through Alberta and come to rest this evening near Calgary for our two-night stay. We will prepare ourselves for tomorrow and an official Calgary welcome! B
Day 6: Following breakfast, we will meet our step on guide for a city highlights tour. This afternoon we will include admission to the Calgary Stampede, The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth! The Calgary Stampede hosts visitors from around the world at this spectacular celebration, which blends Canadian heritage with dynamic contemporary entertainment. From the famous Chuckwagon races, the world’s richest rodeo, thrilling midway rides, and extravagant grandstand show and live entertainment acts, there is a range of experiences and activities for all ages! Dinner will be included this evening. B, D
Day 7: This morning, we will visit the Calgary Tower. No visit to Calvary is complete unless you see the city from the top! Later we depart for Banff National Park, the heart of the Canadian Rockies, and enjoy some free time to have lunch on our own and browse this quaint city, set in the backdrop of the spectacular Rockies. This afternoon we will enjoy a Sulphur Mountain Gondola Ride. Later we will check into our hotel for our three-night stay. Our hotel is in Canmore, a lovely mountain town with beautiful views. We will enjoy walking along downtown streets this evening with an opportunity to enjoy dinner at our leisure. B
Day 8: Today we will take a trip to the famous Columbia Icefields and enjoy an exhilarating snow coach ride over glaciers as well as a tour of the Icefield Parkway. On this must-do experience in the Canadian Rockies you will discover the power of nature as we journey into this magical place on the Athabasca Glacier. We’ll return to our hotel later this afternoon. Dinner is included this evening. B, D
Day 9: Following breakfast we will travel to Lake Louise, a stunning mountain setting. From the vivid turquoise waters to the soaring peaks encircling the lake, this is a site you will never forget. We will include luncheon at Chateau Lake Louise overlooking Victoria Glacier, visit Valley of the Ten Peaks, and for those who wish, take a short hike into Johnson Canyon. We will return to Canmore where we will enjoy the evening at your leisure. B, L
Day 10: Today we begin our descent back home with an overnight stay in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. This evening, we will include a visit to the Living Sky Casino for those wishing to enjoy this Canadian experience. B
Day 11: Today we continue our journey and re-enter the United States. Our overnight is in Bismarck, North Dakota. Dinner is included this evening. B, D
Day 12: We depart after breakfast this morning, continuing east. We will arrive in the Minneapolis area where we will spend the night. B
Day 13: After an included breakfast, we enjoy a leisurely ride to our destination, Janesville, Wisconsin where we check into our hotel. Tonight, will be a special farewell evening enjoying a delicious dinner and show at the Fireside Dinner Theatre. Considered one of the finest of its kind in the country, this will be a great ending to a wonderful tour. B, D
Day 14: It’s homeward bound today. Plan to arrive back early evening with great stories to tell and pictures to share with family and friends about this once-in-a-lifetime tour to the Canadian Rockies and so much more! What’s the next adventure you want to mark off your bucket list?! B
