Come with us to Nashville and help celebrate the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th Birthday. We will enjoy many birthday activities including a special birthday concert, backstage tour, and even the Opry’s birthday cake! Don’t miss the bus and come celebrate with us!
Day 1: Today’s travels will be an enjoyable drive through Kentucky and into Tennessee. This afternoon we will be welcomed to Nashville! We will check into the Gaylord Opryland Resort for our two-night stay. Breakfast is included at the Resort each morning. Take time to enjoy exploring the Gaylord’s Conservatories, shops, and walking paths. Tonight, we will include dinner at Paula Deen’s Restaurant, located adjacent to the hotel at Opry Mills. The remainder of your evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure. D
Day 2: After breakfast we will meet our local guide for a Troubadour City Tour. The tour, by a singer/songwriter, is a true “Only in Nashville” kind of experience. Drive by the historic Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Honky Tonk Row and more. You will hear what it’s like trying to break into Nashville’s music scene, both the struggles and the victories. Next, we will take a guided tour of the Ryman and learn the history of this famous building. Known as the “Mother Church of Country Music”, the Ryman has been one of the country’s premiere concert venues for more than 100 years. Most famous as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943-1974, there is far more to the story of Music City’s most recognizable icon. You will then have free time to enjoy downtown Nashville. Tonight, enjoy a special 100th Birthday Dinner Party backstage at the Opry House. This exclusive experience is in Studio A before the Opry. Enjoy a catered meal by OLE RED featuring a menu item created using an Opry Member’s recipe. There will be a special appearance by an artist backstage plus an Opry House Backstage Tour. Also included is a Souvenir Opry 100 ticket and lanyard, a commemorative show poster and label pin and a photo op with the Giant Birthday Cake. Then it’s time to enjoy the show! B, D
Day 3: After breakfast enjoy a last look around the hotel. We’ll depart mid-morning to travel home with fond memories and collectables of our trip to Nashville for a grand celebration! B
