Day 1: Today’s journey takes us to Jamestown, New York where we will check into the beautiful lakefront Chautauqua Harbor Hotel for our two-night stay. The beautifully appointed rooms overlooking the Chautauqua Lake are a perfect and relaxing oasis. Highlights of this tour include the famous Chautauqua Lake which gets its name from the now extinct Erie language. The 17-mile-long lake attracts boaters, fishers, and tourists to its shores. The resort is an idyllic spot to sit back and relax and enjoy the beauty that the lake beholds. Our dinner will be included this evening at the hotel. D
Day 2: Today will feature a day of Lucy & Laughter! We’ll begin our day with a Lucy town Tour, a delightful and historic look at Lucy’s hometown. You’ll see the homes where The Queen of Comedy was born and grew up, theaters where she performed, places where she attended school, the cemetery where she is buried with her family, and much more. We will visit Desilu Studios, devoted to the I Love Lucy TV series. It is the home to original props, costumes, memorabilia and more. At the Lucy-Desi Museum you can listen to Lucy’s childhood pals talk about some of their youthful antics, view exhibits featuring costumes, wardrobe and personal memorabilia of Lucy and Desi. In the Tropicana Room, a reproduction of Ricky Ricardo’s famous nightclub, we will enjoy an included lunch while laughing at an episode of the TV Show. Finally, we will visit the famous National Comedy Museum and enjoy exclusive collections and world-class exhibits that will leave us with a profound appreciation for comedy icons and innovators, as well as the tremendous influence of humor on how we think, live, and laugh! We will return to the hotel for the remainder of the day, as you enjoy your time at your leisure. B, L
Day 3: After breakfast, we will tour the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts, the luxuriously restored former Palace Theatre where Lucille Ball watched vaudeville with her grandfather. You’ll see a video where Lucy describes how her love of show business began right where you are sitting. Learn about the renovation of the theater, hear about its ghosts, and get a real “backstage tour”. We then say farewell to all that we have seen, anxious to share stories of Lucy, Laughter and more with family and friends. B
