“Get on the Bus and Leave the Rest to Us” on this summer getaway! We will tour country roads more traveled by buggies than buses! We’ll get a true look at the Amish lifestyle and enjoy a great evening of entertainment at a fabulous tribute show!
Day 1: We’ll depart this morning for our summer getaway. We’ll arrive in Indiana Amish Country and check into the local hotel. Get ready for a wonderful evening! Our dinner will be an all-you-can-eat Family Style meal at the Blue Gate Restaurant before we celebrate one Unforgettable Voice and one unforgettable duo, with the sounds of The Carpenters Once More featuring vocalist Diana Lynn. From the birth of this dynamic duo to the last of their public performances, this heartwarming show highlights hits like Yesterday Once More, Close to You, For All We Know, We’ve Only Just Begun, Postman, Ticket to Ride and many more! Diana Lynn has been entertaining audiences since she was three years old. Singing with her brother at a young age, Diana and he quickly became known as the Donny and Marie in Christian music, traveling all around the United States. Diana Lynn now stars in her own Award-Winning Live Branson Production, Carpenters Once More, that you are sure to enjoy! We will return to the hotel after a memorable day. D
Day 2: After our breakfast, we will include a guided tour of the surrounding Amish countryside. We will travel scenic backroads passing horse-drawn buggies, tidy farmhouses and white-washed barns. We’ll learn about the fascinating lifestyle of the Amish as our guide tells us about the area and the history, traditions and customs of the Amish. We will enjoy a delicious luncheon at Das Dutchman Essenhaus with time for shopping in one of the several village shops. We will depart this afternoon as we plan to arrive home this evening, anxious to share a piece of history with family and friends about the Carpenters Once More show and the Amish lifestyle. B, L
