Quaint towns and charming main streets, historic areas, two scenic narrated train rides, Murder Mystery luncheon and a day in the Poconos at Jim Thorpe Village make this new tour irresistible. Get on the bus, leave the rest to us, and enjoy this charming getaway to a very special area of Pennsylvania.

Day 1:   We depart bright and early for our drive to a unique and picturesque area in Pennsylvania.  This tour offers a variety of experiences, so sit back, relax and get ready for a really great time.  We will arrive and check into our area hotel for our 4-night stay.

Day 2:   After breakfast we will begin our Bucks County experience.  The well-traveled town of Doylestown is home to the impressive belt of historical attractions comprised of Fonthill Castle, Mercer Museum and The Tileworks; also known as The Mercer Mile.  The Mercer Museum is a six-story reinforced concrete castle designed by Henry Mercer, completed in 1916.  The museum complex features local and national exhibits, as well as a permanent collection offering a unique window into pre-Industrial America through sixty different crafts and trades and is one of the world’s most comprehensive portraits of pre-industrial American material culture.  Mercer built Fonthill Castle as his home and as a showplace for his collection of tiles and prints. This poured concrete estate is comprised of 44 rooms, 18 fireplaces and more than 200 windows.  Accessibility may be limited for those with limited mobility or issue with stairs.  This afternoon its ALL ABOARD the New Hope Railroad! as we will immerse ourselves in a quintessential American railroading experience aboard an authentic 1900s train.  We embark on a journey from the enchanting 1891 Witch’s Hat train station nestled in downtown New Hope, traversing through the historic charm of Bucks County.  The track we follow once belonged to the expansive Reading Company system, a crucial link between New Hope, its neighboring rural communities, Philadelphia, and the broader nation.  We will travel in the luxury of the First-Class parlor car for an unforgettable adventure.  We will return to the hotel to refresh before enjoying an included dinner.  B, D

Day 3:   Today we continue our tour with a visit to the quaint and historic area of Peddler’s Village. Peddler’s Village is a storybook village with charming colonial-style buildings, award-winning gardens, and distinctive shopping and dining.  Follow the winding brick pathways to escape from the everyday.  Here you enjoy a private Murder Mystery luncheon Show, along with time to visit the distinctive shops and gardens that Peddler’s Village has to offer. Tonight, we have dinner at your leisure in New Hope with an opportunity to explore this picturesque village at your leisure. B, L

Day 4:   After breakfast we depart for a picturesque drive through the scenic countryside to Jim Thorpe; a Victorian town nestled in the Poconos where we will step back in time and meet our guide for a city tour.  With this town’s narrow streets and neat boutiques, you will believe you are in Europe!  Next, it will be all-aboard the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Train for a narrated round-trip through the majestic Lehigh River over bridges, through Glen Onoko, and into the Lehigh Gorge State Park.  You are sure to be amazed by the panoramic views of the Pennsylvania Mountains.  Later this afternoon we will return to Bucks County and our farewell dinner this evening. B, D

Day 5:   Today’s drive takes us home.  We will arrive later this evening with so many fond memories and stories to tell about our visit to picturesque Pennsylvania and the charming towns and villages we have enjoyed. B
