On this new tour we will embark together on a journey through the heart of the American West, where breathtaking landscapes, rich frontier history, and authentic cultural experiences come together for an unforgettable adventure.  The highlight of this tour will be a thrilling day at Cheyenne Frontier Days, offering a once-in-a-lifetime glimpse into authentic cowboy culture and American Western heritage celebrated since 1897. Along with a full day of sightseeing in Denver, you won’t want to miss the bus and just leave the rest to us on this American West adventure tour!

 

Day 1:   We will depart this morning for the first leg of our journey to Wyoming.  We will stay overnight near Columbia, Missouri.

Day 2:   Our adventure continues today as we arrive in Hays, Kansas for our overnight stay.  We will stop in Kansas City to experience a true American treasure, the World War I Museum and Memorial, sharing sights, sounds and stories of the First World War through state-of-the-art exhibitions and displays.  We will depart Kansas City and travel to our overnight destination near Hays, Kansas.  B, D

Day 3:   Today’s drive will take us to the Mile-High City of Denver, Colorado for a two-night stay at the Drury Hotel.  Relax, refresh and enjoy your time at leisure.  The hotel offers a Kickback Reception with beverages, food and snacks. B

Day 4:   After breakfast we will enjoy a day of touring in Denver and nearby Golden, Colorado.  Our first stop will be at the Molly Brown House Museum which explores the life of the “Unsinkable” Molly Brown in the era of Colorado’s mining boom.  Our short drive to Golden, Colorado will take us to the Buffalo Bill Museum & grave.  Located on scenic Lookout Mountain, the Museum celebrates the famous Wild West showman.  We will have lunch on our own before touring the famous Coors Brewery, the largest single-site brewery in the world! Since 1873 the Coors Brewery has thrived on a legacy of quality, innovation and customer service.  The Coors Brewery Tour showcases the history and passion for brewing in a 90-minute look at malting, brewing and packaging processes.  They also share old photos, neon signs, historical beer cans, bottles and memorabilia from their archives.  Later this afternoon we will return to hotel and enjoy the evening together.  B

Day 5:   Following breakfast, depart for Cheyenne & a true Western adventure!  We’ll begin with a truly unique train experience that travels through pastures of Bison before diving into the history of the railroad and its impact on Cheyenne.  We will check into our local hotel in Laramie for our two-night stay before departing for an enjoyable group dining experience.  B, D

Day 6:   Today is the “Daddy of ‘em all”, the Cheyenne Frontier Days.  We’ll start with the Behind the Chutes Tour where you will get an exclusive look at the rodeo grounds, animal holding areas, chutes, and operations that make this event world-renowned. After the tour, at your leisure, you can explore the history of the Frontier Days at the Old West Museum, visit the Native American Village, Old Frontier Town, vendor booths, and entertainment throughout the area, while also taking in the exciting rodeo events of the day from the grandstand.  Relax as you return to the hotel after an exhilarating time at Frontier Days!  B

Day 7:   After our included breakfast, we will depart Wyoming to begin our trip home. Our overnight stay will be near Lincoln, Nebraska.  B

Day 8:   This morning, we will depart for our drive further into the Midwest where we will arrive in the Quad Cities area and check into our hotel.  A wonderful farewell dinner will be enjoyed on the delightful riverboat Celebration Belle as we cruise along the Mississippi River and reminisce about our American West adventure.  B, D

Day 9: After breakfast, we will head home, relaxing onboard our motorcoach for the final leg of our journey.  Plan to arrive early evening, enchanted by the Frontier Days and the American West. B
