Croswell Charter Bus Company Since 1921

Robert and Jesse Croswell came to Williamsburg, OH and started their auto repair and Charter Bus Company in 1921. More than 100 years and four generations later Croswell’s main operation is still based in Williamsburg, but most of their charter bus business is based out of the Cincinnati charter bus market. The early years involved operating scheduled service running 7 trips a day from Cincinnati to Portsmouth, Ohio. Additionally, they operated an Oldsmobile and Graham Bros automobile dealership from their Main Street garage.

The second generation took charge after Robert Junior (Bob) returned from serving 5 ½ years overseas in World War ll. He and (later) his wife Marion expanded the charter business, building a solid reputation transporting leading local organizations such as The Cincinnati Ballet Company and The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Bob even drove for The Beatles when they famously made their Cincinnati visit 60 years ago!

The third generation (John & Susan) assumed leadership roles in the early 1980’s starting Croswell Tours which has become the largest Motorcoach Tour Operator in this market offering trips ranging from a one-day local tour to a three-week Alaska Adventure. During this time the Cincinnati charter bus business grew ten-fold, adding notable clients including The Cincinnati Bengals, The Cincinnati Reds, The University of Cincinnati Bearcats, and now FCC Cincinnati. They are also in their 30th year providing 56-passenger tour buses for over the road tours for a major Broadway Show producer.

The fourth generation (John Robert) is setting his mark on the business expanding our University Student Shuttle services from our Cincinnati terminal to include shuttles aboard mini-buses as well as 56-passenger charter buses. We also have added a significant client operating Guest and Employee Shuttle service for The Ark Encounter from our on-site facility in Williamstown, KY, utilizing our fleet of 56-passenger charter buses as well as a fleet of low transit buses.

Today, our fleet consists of 56 passenger charter buses, 50 passenger tour buses, twenty passenger mini-coaches, and twenty-five transit buses across three local facilities.
