Day 1: After an early departure and a pleasant ride through Kentucky and Tennessee this afternoon we will check into our hotel for a two night stay. This evening is a real treat! Christmas on the River and Grande Illumination ignite the holiday spirit at Ross’ Landing. The event begins with a lighted boat parade on the Tennessee River, and we will be part of the Boat Parade as we cruise aboard the Southern Belle enjoying our holiday dinner buffet. After our cruise we’ll enjoy the radiant show of lights. The evening comes to a glittering conclusion with a fireworks finale, signaling the illumination of the city’s skyline for the holiday season.
Day 2: We’ll enjoy a more leisurely breakfast at the hotel this morning before our touring begins. Today we take a ride on one of the steepest passenger railways in the world – Lookout Mountain’s Incline Railway. Known as “America’s Most Amazing Mile”, the incline’s trolley-style cars climb through the natural beauty surrounding historic Lookout Mountain at a breathtaking 72.7% grade – straight up! While on the top of the mountain, enjoy the panoramic views from the observation tower. A visit to Ruby Falls will be included today as well. This evening we’ll see the award-winning light extravaganza at Rock City’s “Enchanted Garden of Lights”. With more than 30 holiday scenes and over a million lights, the garden’s natural daytime splendor is transformed into a nocturnal fantasy land. Dinner is included this evening.
Day 3: This morning we depart for home after our included breakfast. Plan to arrive back early evening anxious to prepare for the holiday season ahead after this delightful and illuminated tour!
