Day 1: We'll depart bright and early for our journey to the southwest and the exciting Longhorn State. First we'll overnight at the Gold Strike Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. A dinner buffet is included at the hotel. Good Luck tonight - this is a great start to a great tour!
Day 2: A breakfast buffet is included before we head to Texas. Our drive takes us to Dallas where we will enjoy a two night stay.
Day 3: This morning we meet our local guide for a full day tour of the Big D, including the infamous Texas School Book Depository, given notoriety by Lee Harvey Oswald and the John F. Kennedy Memorial. This afternoon we will tour the Sixth Floor Museum where you can experience the life, death, and legacy of President Kennedy. We will conclude our tour in Ft. Worth with an included dinner and evening of entertainment!
Day 4: This morning we will depart Dallas bright and early for our drive south to Waco, now famous for its native sons, Chip and Joanna Gaines, stars of HGTV’s Fixer Upper. We will visit their Magnolia Market at the Silos. This afternoon, visit the Dr. Pepper Museum, including a guided tour of the original bottling facility and sample some hand-made Dr. Pepper from their old fashioned soda fountain. Tonight, arrive in San Antonio in time to enjoy an evening at your leisure on their most visited attraction, The Riverwalk.
Day 5: Today we will include an all-day guided tour of San Antonio, including a tour of the Alamo, the Mission Area, Brackenridge Park, and the King William area. We will include a delightful dinner this evening in the Market Square area with time after dinner for some great local shopping.
Day 6: We depart San Antonio with regret, but anxious to see Houston! Upon arrival we include a visit to the Houston Space Center. Be inspired by the wonders of space exploration and go behind the scenes of America’s exciting space program. We overnight at the Drury Inn where we will arrive in time for the 5:30 Kickback®.
Day 7: We'll depart Houston this morning for our drive to New Orleans. This afternoon we arrive in the Big Easy in time for shopping and sightseeing in the Jackson Brewery area. This evening a delightful dinner will be included in the French Quarter.
Day 8: We depart New Orleans this morning, driving towards Nashville, TN, where we will enjoy a farewell dinner together.
Day 9: Today’s drive takes us northward home. We’ll arrive late afternoon with many fond memories of a great vacation to the fascinating city of Texas and so much more!
