Day 1: Get ready for a wonderful adventure to the beautiful Asheville, NC area. Upon arrival in Asheville, we will enjoy dinner and entertainment at the Crest Mountain Dinner Show. At Crest Mountain we will enjoy panoramic views, a delicious dinner and top-notch entertainment. After the show we will check into an Asheville area hotel for a two night stay.
Day 2: Breakfast is included at the hotel before departing for the famous Biltmore Estate. This morning we arrive at the 12,000-acre Biltmore Estate for an audio-guided House Tour which will transport you back to the days of the Vanderbilt’s as one of their cherished houseguests. The heart of the Biltmore Estate is the 250-room Biltmore House, a European chateau built in French Renaissance style by the tycoon George Washington Vanderbilt. Our tour covers the first, second and third floor family and guest areas, plus the basement recreation area, kitchens, servants’ areas, and the Bachelors’ Wing. Our ticket will also gain us access to the Gardens. The progression of blossoms throughout the garden will range from daffodils and stunning tulips to beautiful azaleas and fragrant roses. The Biltmore House joins the festivities as well, with a bountiful display of orchids in the indoor Winter Garden and other stunning arrangements throughout. This afternoon, we will enjoy a behind the scenes tour, The Biltmore House Revealed. This 60-minute guided tour offers an exclusive glimpse of the Archives and unrestored rooms of Biltmore House. You will see the working parts of the house today, and hear what was required in the early 1900s to maintain America’s Largest Home®. As a century of preservation efforts and room restoration projects are revealed, you will also discover what it takes to keep this national treasure as glorious today as it was more than one hundred years ago. This evening we will return to our hotel before enjoying dinner together at an area restaurant.
Day 3: Enjoy your included breakfast before departing for the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove. Here we will enjoy a tour of the Chapel and Garden before departing for our return trip home.
