Day 1: We’ll motor west across the Indiana hills and Illinois countryside into the Midwestern state of Iowa where we come to rest at our hotel near Davenport.
Day 2: Early this morning, we board the beautiful Twilight Riverboat for the first of two days of Mississippi River Cruising. Fresh coffee, sweet rolls, milk and fruit juice will be available after boarding. Our Captain will be our guide to the wildlife, valley landscapes and historic river towns. Enjoy live entertainment, games, two snacks, lunch and dinner before arriving in historic Dubuque, Iowa. This evening the boat docks in Dubuque IA, and we overnight at the Grand Harbor Hotel. Day 3: An included breakfast is enjoyed this morning. Spend the morning, using the complimentary shuttle, exploring Dubuque’s history, architecture, shopping and other attractions. Admission is included to Iowa’s #1 attraction, the must-see Smithsonian-accredited National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium. We re-board the Twilight and enjoy more Captain narration and entertainment throughout the day. Lunch and dinner will be served onboard. We arrive back in LeClaire at 7:00 p.m. and check in to local overnight accommodations. B, L, D
Day 4: Breakfast is included this morning before our departure. We set our sights for home, reminiscing about our grand adventure on the Mississippi. Plan to arrive back home in the early evening. B
