Day 1: We’ll depart this morning for our Blue Gate Christmas getaway. We’ll stop for lunch on our own enroute. This afternoon we will check into the Blue Gate Garden Inn for our one-night stay. This is a delightful hotel that gets top ratings from its guests. After refreshing we will depart for a wonderful evening. Our dinner will be an all-you-can-eat Family Style meal at the Blue Gate Restaurant before enjoying the memorable musical, A Christmas Candy Caper. After years of playing pranks on her family and friends, Candy Shop owner Lydia Miller experiences real-life holiday danger when two men break into her shop to steal her coveted candy recipe, then kidnap her! Unfortunately, being the Amish girl who cried wolf once too often, the town believes this is just another of Lydia’s pranks. So… the kidnappers are stuck with a victim that no one seems to want back! This is a fun-filled musical comedy that you are sure to love! We will return to the hotel after the show. D
Day 2: After our breakfast we will check out and depart for the Menno-Hof Museum. Enjoy a fascinating look at the lives of the Amish and the Mennonites. We will enjoy a soup and sandwich lunch before we set our sights for home, anxious to share our autumn memories with family and friends. B, L
