Day 3:                   This morning we meet our local guide for a full day tour of the Big D, including the infamous Texas School Book Depository, given notoriety by Lee Harvey Oswald and the John F. Kennedy Memorial. We will tour the Sixth Floor Museum where you can experience the life, death, and legacy of President Kennedy. We will conclude our tour in Ft. Worth with an included dinner and evening of entertainment!  B, D

Day 4:                   This morning we will depart Dallas bright and early for our drive south to Waco, now famous for its native sons, Chip and Joanna Gaines, stars of HGTV’s Fixer Upper.  We will visit their Magnolia Market at the Silos. We’ll check into our Waco hotel before enjoying an included dinner together. B, D

Day 5:                   We will depart after breakfast for our drive to the beautiful capitol city of Texas, Austin.          We will enjoy a guided tour including the State Capitol.  The granite Texas statehouse stands as a testament to the history of the Lone Star State.  The Texas Capitol is widely recognized as one of the nation’s most distinguished state capitols, designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1986.  Today will also find us at the LBJ Presidential Library and Museum where you will learn about the man himself, his early life, family years, and political life of our 36th President.  Lady Bird Johnson was one of America’s most popular and respected First Ladies and you will learn about her life as well.  Tonight, we will enjoy an authentic Texas Steakhouse dinner before overnighting in Austin. B, D

Day 6:                   We’ll depart Austin and set our sights for Johnson City and the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park.  The Park’s motto is “All the World is Welcome Here” to hear the story of LBJ beginning with his ancestors until his final resting place on his beloved LBJ Ranch.  This entire “Circle of Life” will give us a unique perspective into one of America’s most noteworthy citizens by providing the most complete picture of any American President. After our visit we will depart for another great Texas city…San Antonio!  We will check into our hotel situated along the famous Riverwalk. You will discover that San Antonio will be a change of pace, a romantic city of Spanish ancestry overlooking the jade green Paseo del Rio.  Enjoy this evening at your leisure and perhaps check out one of the many restaurants located along the Riverwalk!  B
