The tour highlight will be an evening show with the Glenn Miller Orchestra as they perform their Christmas Concert, “In the Holiday Mood”. Day 1: We’ll depart for our drive to Ohio Amish Country. This afternoon, we will check into the Carlisle Inn in Walnut Creek before departing for Sugarcreek. The streets of this Swiss Village are dotted with Swiss style architecture and beautiful Swiss Murals. See the World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock. A delicious dinner is included before the tour highlight, The Glenn Miller Orchestra Christmas Concert. The program features a delightful blend of beloved holiday classics, such as “Jingle Bells” and “Frosty the Snowman”, reimagined in the Orchestra’s signature style. “In The Holiday Mood” is a delightful musical journey that celebrates the magic and nostalgia of the holiday season in the inimitable Glenn Miller style. Day 2: After breakfast we will depart for some great Amish country shopping at the famous Walnut Creek Marketplace (formerly the Walnut Creek Flea Market) and Walnut Creek Cheese Market. The Walnut Creek Marketplace offers a flea market-like experience with a vast array of shops and items, making it a great destination for exploration. Visitors always describe the Marketplace as a delightful highlight of their visit to Ohio Amish Country. Our final stop at Walnut Creek will be at Walnut Creek Cheese & Market. A family owned and operated business since 1977, locals and visitors alike compliment the honesty and integrity of the products sold and the staff who serve them. After lunch on our own we will depart for home, anxious to tell our family about this little holiday getaway and the Glenn Miller Christmas Concert and show them some of the wonderful Amish items we purchased!
