Join us on this southern Florida vacation with a 4-night stay in the iconic Florida Keys. Key Largo is the perfect spot to settle in for a few days. Along with the sun, you will enjoy a full day in Key West including the Key West Conch Train. You won’t want to miss the bus as we escape the mid-west winter on this sunny, relaxing, and entertaining getaway!
Day 1: We’ll depart early this morning as we travel south on our way to Florida! Today is your time to sit back, relax and meet some new travelers. We’ll stay overnight this evening near Macon, GA.
Day 2: After breakfast, let’s hit the road and head south. We will arrive in Kissimmee this afternoon and check into the Drury Plaza Hotel Disney Springs. Enjoy the amenities of the hotel which include a hot breakfast buffet, Kickback Reception, evening snacks and cold beverages, a resort-style saltwater pool and more! If you wish, wander over to Disney Springs for some shopping and entertainment options. B
Day 3: Following breakfast, we will set our sights for the spectacular Florida Keys. Arrive in Key Largo where we will check into the Holiday Inn for our four-night stay. Enjoy the lush grounds, relax, and soak in the sun! Unpack, freshen up, and get ready for a wonderful stay in the Florida Keys. Our dinner will be included this evening at one of Key Largo’s local favorites. B, D
Day 4: Breakfast is enjoyed again at the hotel. Today will be relaxing, as you enjoy time at your leisure in Key Largo. Enjoy a drink poolside in the tropically themed pool area or take a short walk to explore the African Queen. You are sure to marvel at the exciting, beautiful, underwater world of the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and the Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary. B
Day 5: This morning, we’re off down the “Overseas Highway” across the Keys to the fun and funky “Conch Republic” of Key West. Our adventure in Key West includes the famous “Conch Train Trolley” narrated tour to many Key West Highlights. At the end of the day, we’ll congregate on Mallory Square with tourists and natives alike, for the famous “Sunset Celebration”. Afterwards, we will board our motorcoach and return to our hotel. B
Day 6: Breakfast begins another enjoyable and leisurely day. We will include a drive to Islamorada to visit the Theatre of the Sea. This family-owned marine animal park will allow you the opportunity to see dolphins and sea creatures up close! The remainder of your day is at your leisure. We will enjoy a “farewell to the Keys” dinner tonight. B, D
Day 7: Today we will return to mainland Florida where we travel to Everglades City and enjoy a narrated Boat Tour. The Everglades protects an unparalleled landscape that provides important habitat for numerous rare and endangered species like the manatee, American crocodile, and the elusive Florida panther. After our tour, we will head for Fort Myers and the Drury Inn. Enjoy the kick-back and the rest of your evening. B
Day 8: This morning, we will bid farewell as we travel through Florida and visit a local Citrus Store. This evening, we will return to Macon, GA and spend our final overnight together. B
Day 9: This morning, we will depart for home. We have completed the Sunny Southern Florida getaway with lots of fond memories and stories to share with family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your experience! B
