Don’t miss the bus and leave the driving to us! Join us for a terrific chance for you, your family, and your friends to experience a great game at the National’s Park vs our hometown favorite team, the Cincinnati Reds! Enjoy two full days of sightseeing in DC as well as Prince William County, Virginia! See the historic sites surrounding our Nation’s Capital!
Day 1: It is eastward bound as we cross Ohio’s rolling fields and the picturesque mountains of Pennsylvania. Arrive at our Prince William County area hotel and check in for a three-night stay.
Day 2: Breakfast will be included at the hotel. This morning, we hit the road to George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate to learn about Mount Vernon’s rich history and even discover why George Washington himself opened the estate to guests year-round, just like it is today. While at Mount Vernon we will enjoy a sightseeing cruise along the Potomac. Later this afternoon, we head to Nationals Park. What could beat rooting for our Cincinnati Reds at a ballpark featuring the backdrop of DC’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood? Enjoy the game and some traditional ballpark food! GO REDS! B
Day 3: After breakfast, we’ll start the day with a tour of the fabulous National Museum of the Marine Corps. Uncover the history of the Corps, test your skills as a Marine, and get insight into the lives of those who fight for our freedom. During our visit, we will see the incredible film, “We, the Marines”. Our next stop will be the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico where you will pay your respects at the graves of veterans whose remains were previously forgotten. Hosted by the Missing in America Project, their mission is to find, identify, and provide full military burial for these now remembered heroes. Our final stop today will be Manassas National Battlefield Park, site of the First Battle of Bull Run, the first major land battle of the Civil War. Soak up all the history during this tour. Dinner is included together this evening in historic Occoquan along the waterfront area. Return to the hotel after a very “historical” day. B, D
Day 4: After an included breakfast we are homeward bound. We will arrive home later this evening with wonderful memories of our summer fun with the Reds and such wonderful historic sites! B
