Join us as we embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of New York State, where rich history, stunning artistry, and scenic waters come alive.  We will discover the hidden Gems of the Mohawk Valley before stepping into the timeless charm of Cooperstown, America’s favorite historic village and home to legendary baseball heritage.  Marvel at the world-renowned craftsmanship on display at the Corning Museum of Glass and relax and take in the beautiful landscapes on a tranquil Erie Canal Cruise.  Don’t miss the bus…leave the planning to us!

Day 1:  Welcome aboard!  Today we will set our sights for Upstate New York, but first we will spend our overnight enroute near Syracuse, NY.

Day 2:  Our breakfast will prepare us for our departure as we plan to arrive later this morning in the Mohawk Valley area. Our first stop will be for some shopping and lunch on our own at Gems Along the Mohawk which houses over 70 specialty shops showcasing the manufacturing legacy and products of the Mohawk Valley and Central New York.  We will then enjoy a cruise on the Erie Canal Cruises that travel through Lock 18 of the Erie Canal.  The cruise is fully narrated by the captain, who gives a historic overview of the Erie Canal.  As we glide through the waterway, enjoy the sights and sounds of the area, and indulge your spirit of adventure as we are raised and lowered 20 feet inside a lock.  Bring your camera and field glasses to capture the many photo opportunities and view the native wildlife and birds along the canal. We will travel to Cooperstown and check into our hotel for a two-night stay and enjoy dinner together this evening.  B, D

Day 3:  After our included breakfast, we will step back in time and immerse ourselves in the nostalgia of America’s favorite hometown.  Our day begins on historic Main Street with its classic charm of red-brick storefronts.  The centerpiece of the morning is a pilgrimage to the iconic National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, a multi-level sanctuary where the legends of the game come alive.  Walking through the Plaque Gallery, you’ll feel the weight of sports history, while checking out historic artifacts like Babe Ruth’s bats, vintage jerseys, and interactive exhibits that capture the timeless magic of the diamond.  After lunch on our own at a Main Street eatery, we will journey just south of the village to the historic Milford Depot to board the Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley Railroad.  Stepping onto these beautifully restored, century-old vintage rail cars feel like entering a bygone era.  As the whistle blows, you’ll embark on a scenic, nostalgic ride through the untouched wilderness of the Susquehanna River Valley.  It’s a peaceful and picturesque journey that perfectly complements a day rooted in classic American heritage.  We will refresh at the hotel before enjoying dinner together this evening. B, D

Day 4: After breakfast, we will depart for our drive to Corning, New York, home to the world-renowned Corning Museum of Glass. We will arrive for time to have lunch on our own, then spend the afternoon immersing ourselves on a journey through 3,500 years of human ingenuity, artistry, and science. The heartbeat of the museum is undoubtedly the Hot Glass Show.  Sitting in the amphitheater, you can feel the radiant heat of the furnaces as expert gaffers transform glowing, molten glass into elegant vessels right before our eyes.  We’ll include dinner and overnight in Olean, NY.  B, D

Day 5:  It’s up early to enjoy our included breakfast before setting our sights for home.  Plan to arrive home later this evening with wonderful memories and stories to tell about the beauty and wonder of upstate New York and the Mohawk Valley.  B
