Cleveland Rocks

If you would like to learn more about Cleveland and the history of Rock and Roll…this trip is for you.

As we set our sights north to Cleveland our excitement rose.  Cleveland is located on Lake Erie and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located directly on Lake Erie. This is a beautiful urban area with the Cleveland Browns Stadium located next door.

For a total of 3 hours in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame we were brought back to a time when we all shared musical memories.  We had forgotten many of the bands until we passed the display windows. There was so much history in all the display windows and some great videos to watch.  With a total of 6 floors, we were introduced to so much history we either didn’t know or may have forgotten!  This was a great visit to a fascinating museum.

As met our motorcoach and headed to dinner at Hofbrauhaus. We enjoyed a great meal with time to visit new friends. After dinner it was time to head to the hotel, The Drury Plaza.

After breakfast on our second day, we headed back to the lake front to meet our local guide.  A ride around Cleveland told us about Sherwin Williams Paint, the movie: The Christmas Story was filmed here.  The theatre district was very interesting with billboards like New York City.  The city has monuments for several of the wars. There were many nice places to eat along the waterfront.

Then back to the lakefront to board The Goodtimes Cruise lll to eat lunch and enjoy a cruise along the Cuyahoga River and along Lake Erie.  All kinds of history was told to us.  After a delightful visit to Cleveland, it was time to get back on the bus to head home.

We learned a lot about the largest city in Ohio and a great time was had by all.
