Come along on this Canadian adventure that highlights two of the greatest Canadian cities, Quebec and Ottawa. Experience the old-world charm of Europe without having to travel overseas. Highlights include Parliament Hill and the Royal Canadian Mint, Old Quebec City, the Citadel, Montmorency Falls, Saint Anne de Beaupre and more!
Day 1: This morning, we will begin our Canadian adventure. Our first day will take us to Syracuse, NY for our overnight stay.
Day 2: Today we will cross the Canadian border and enjoy our morning drive to Ottawa. Upon arrival, we will meet our local guide for an afternoon Ottawa Highlights Tour. We will see the Royal Canadian Mint, City Hall, the residence of the Prime Minister, and Parliament Hill. Dinner will be enjoyed together this evening before checking into our hotel. B, D
Day 3: After breakfast we will continue our Ottawa tour, including Rideau Hall which has been the official home and workplace of every Canadian Governor General since the Confederation in 1867. Then, we will depart Ottawa and follow the St. Lawrence River to Quebec City, the first French settlement in North America, reminiscent of a medieval European village. After checking into our hotel for our three-night stay, this evening will be yours to enjoy this romantic city on foot or by horse-drawn carriage. You may want to have dinner on your own at a French Bistro inside the walled city of Old Town Quebec. B
Day 4 This morning, our local guide will join us for a sightseeing tour of historic Quebec City. Perched within its centuries-old fortified walls, Quebec City is a captivating blend of European charm and Old-World character, with weathered stone buildings, ancient trees, narrow streets, and historic landmarks around every corner. We’ll see the Old City, Place Royale, the Plains of Abraham, the Citadel, and breathtaking Montmorency Falls, where water plunges 84 meters into the St. Lawrence River. After some time at your leisure, we will gather for dinner together and talk about what we have seen and enjoyed today. B, D
Day 5: After breakfast, our Quebec tour continues with a visit to the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, one of North America’s oldest and most renowned pilgrimage sites. Adjacent to the basilica is the Cyclorama, an extraordinary panoramic painting measuring 45 feet high and 360 feet in circumference. Step inside and experience this remarkable work of art, considered one of the largest panoramic paintings in the world. There will be lots to see and enjoy today before gathering again for an included farewell dinner. B, D
Day 6: We bid farewell to Quebec this morning and set our sight toward home. We cross the border into the United States, and our overnight will be near Rochester, NY. B
Day 7: After a great journey together, we will arrive home this evening with so many experiences and memories to share with family and friends about wonderful Quebec and Ottawa! B
