Join us on this relaxing yet exciting tour and return with us to the Victorian Era in 2027! Known as the “Queen of the Seaside Resorts” for its quaint Victorian homes and pristine beaches, Cape May is the oldest seaside resort in the country. On this tour, you will enjoy a hotel directly on the boardwalk and overlooking the ocean, delicious dining, and fabulous tours.
Day 1: We will depart this morning with our sights set for the Jersey Shore and Victorian Cape May. Our overnight stay will be near Harrisburg, PA.
Day 2: We will arrive in Cape May this afternoon and enjoy a guided tour of the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate mansion. Then, check into our hotel for the next two nights, perfectly situated across from the ocean, the Cape May boardwalk, and close enough to walk into town if you wish. Enjoy getting acquainted with the hotel and surrounding area before an included dinner this evening. B, D
Day 3: After breakfast, we’ll board our coach with a local guide for a sightseeing tour to the tip of Cape May’s peninsula, one of North America’s most celebrated locations for migratory birds. At Cape May Point State Park, we’ll see the fully restored Cape May Lighthouse, built in 1859. We’ll then continue to Sunset Beach, where the remains of the sunken ship Atlantus can still be seen offshore. Later this morning, we’ll head to the Washington Street Mall, where cobblestone walkways lead to an array of one-of-a-kind boutiques, shops, and dining options. This afternoon, we’ll enjoy a trolley tour through Cape May’s historic district, showcasing the charming Victorian architecture and rich history that make this seaside town so special. Refresh at the hotel before dinner at a local restaurant. B, D
Day 4: This morning, experience Cape May in a whole new way. Your Dolphin & Bird Watching cruise completely encircles the island of Cape May, focusing on the local Bottlenose Dolphin population and various bird species. As we begin our travels toward home, we’ll make a stop in the charming and historic village of Smithville. As you enter any of the 50 shops, you will feel the warm embrace of small-town hospitality. Stroll along cobblestone walkways and over foot bridges to enjoy shops and restaurants. Finally, we depart for our overnight stay near Harrisburg. Our farewell dinner will be included in tour this evening. B, D
Day 5: We set our sights for home after breakfast, planning to arrive early this evening with wonderful memories of our Cape May adventure. B
