Turkeyville USA Getaway

Croswell Brand

Once we boarded all our passengers, we headed north to Pure Michigan.

Our first stop was at the Battle Creek Welcome Center where we learned about the history of Kellogg and Post Cereal.

Our next stop was the Fairfield Inn to drop off our luggage and freshen up before we headed to Cornwell Dinner Theatre.

When we arrived at the Cornwell Dinner Theatre we had time to explore the gift shop and the history of Cornwell.  They had an ice cream shop and a fudge shop.  We got the call to get to our seats, and we were served crackers and cheese along with our drinks.  Then it came time to go to the buffet line.  It was truly a turkey feast with homemade pie for dessert!  We had time to revisit the gift shop before the show.  The show started at 8 and it was really good, “The Naughty List”. After the show we headed back to the hotel.

After breakfast we headed to our lunch stop in Decatur, Indiana. The Back Forty Junction was a great stop for lunch.  The restaurant had really great food.  The restaurant had many things to see on the walls.  We did not have time to see and read it all.  We hope to be able to eat here again.

After lunch we went to the Warm Candle Glow Outlet.  A great stop to do some shopping.  The place had a candy shop wine shop coffee shop and craft beer shop.  It had so many Christmas things to buy.  They make their own candles, and it was a very nice place to visit and shop.

Then it was time to head home.  We all agreed that it was a great two-day tour, enjoyed with old friends and new friends alike.
